Ina Garden is an American cookbook writer who has received Emmy Awards. She hosts the most popular Food Network program, Barefoot Contessa. The show premiered in 2002. The show will run for 27 more seasons. Ina Garten started her career in the White House where she wrote nuclear energy policies and budget documents. In the beginning, she was enthralled by the intellectual rigors of her job, but soon began to lose enthusiasm. In her place, she purchased Barefoot Contessa, a specialty restaurant. Prior to selling the company it took her an entire 18 years transforming it into the most successful shop. There were many more cookbooks as well as magazine columns that came later. Meanwhile her Food Network television show too began its run and was a huge success. In addition, she sells all kinds of cooking equipment, items and even containers. Ina she is a self-taught cook she has never attended a culinary school or in a hotel. Ina is known for her relaxed way of creating and entertaining. Some of her most popular recipes include Skillet and Roasted Lemon Chicken Mac and cheese Beef bourguignon, Mac and cheese, Beatty's Chocolate Cake and Lemon Bars.
